Brownies
3 cups carob chips, divided
8 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 eggs or egg substitute
1/2 cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup nuts
Carob Frosting
1/2 cup carob powder
8 tablespoons honey
6 tablespoons oil
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 tablespoons soy milk
4 tablespoons soy powder
directions
For Brownies: Heat oil and 2 cups carob chips until melted. Blend eggs, honey and vanilla.
Blend dry ingredients and stir into carob mix. Fold in nuts and 1 cup carob chips. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-40 minutes on a well-greased cookie sheet.
For Carob Frosting: Heat honey, oil, soy milk and powder. Add vanilla and pour over cake.
