1 package (10 ounce size) vanilla milk (white) chips
1/2 cup butter or regular margarine
1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 eggs
1/2 cup chopped nuts
Creamy Vanilla Frosting
1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
3 tablespoons butter or regular margarine, softened
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon milk, more as needed
directions
dHeat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and lightly flour a 13 x 9 inch baking dish.
Heat vanila milk chips and the butter in a heavy 2 quart saucepan over very low heat. Stir frequently just until melted (the mixture may appear to be curdled). Remove from the heat and cool.
Stir in the flour, sugar, vanilla, salt, and the eggs. Stir in the nuts. Spread the batter in the prepared baking dish.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool completely.
For the Creamy Vanilla Frosting: Mix all the ingredients until smooth and spreadable.
Spread frosting over cooled brownies. Cut into bars.
