What's the secret ingredient in these cakes? Pudding mix. It not only adds flavor but it gives the cake a richer, creamier texture. No one will know your secret ingredient!

One bowl makes these brownies not only delicious but so easy to make. These brownies have just the right texture - not too fudgy, not too cakey.
4 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate
3/4 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup flour
1 cup chopped nuts, optional
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Microwave chocolate and margarine in large microwaveable bowl on High 2 minutes or until margarine is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Stir sugar into chocolate. Mix in eggs and vanilla until well blended. Stir in flour and nuts.
Spread in greased 13x9 inch pan. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs. Cool in pan; cut into squares.

This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.
The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

How can semi-sweet chocolate be substituted for unsweetened in this recipe? Thank you
You can take a look at our chocolate substitution guide
I agree with the 2nd review. Made these with Baker's suggestion of 2 cups of sugar and they came out too sweet. One cup would be sufficient. The recipe is very easy though.

I totally disagree with the bad review the other person gave this recipe. 1 cup is the appropriate amount, 2 cups would be horrible. MAYBE 1¼, but certainly no more. This is my favorite brownie. Easy, quick, common ingredients, fast. How can you beat that? I've tried "fancy" recipes from Epicurious, Giradelli and so on, but to me, they just don't compare to these.
I believe that this recipe is misprinted. Should be 2 cups of sugar (as stated on the box of Baker's) rather than one. When made with just one cup, they're a flop.
