The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

A moist and flavorful quick bread made made with mashed bananas, chocolate chips, and walnuts.
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 eggs, beaten
3 bananas, mashed
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a loaf pan.
Beat together the sugar and butter until combined. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the bananas.
Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix into the banana mixture slowly until fully combined. Stir in the chocolate chip and nuts.
Pour into the prepared loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees F for one hour or until bread tests done.

It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).
Keeping a can of frozen orange juice concentrate in the freezer means you can make more than just orange juice. Try it in a variety of orange-flavored recipes.

I have made this banana bread before and love it!! I was wondering if I were to make it into muffins how long I would bake them for.
We haven't tested this recipe as muffins. Baking time varies greatly depending on the recipe. I would start checking them after 15 minutes but it could take up to 30 minutes.

This bread turned out really well for me. The bananas I had were quite ripe so I think that helped make it very moist. I used pecans instead of walnuts. It didn't say what kind of chocolate chips to use (milk chocolate or semi sweet?) so I used semi sweet because that's what I had.

Eh. This recipe was okay. I would probably not make it again, since I like other recipes better. It tastes good, but that's all, not great. It could've been more moist as well. I also added cinnamon, which gave it a nice touch.

This is a really good recipe! I had only 2 bananas so I finely chopped a ripe pear and added that. Also I happened to have some grated bittersweet chocolate and finely chopped hazelnuts on hand. It turned out to be the best banana bread I have ever made!! yummy

WOW...this was so easy to make. I had my 4 year old son help and he had so much fun! I used 3/4 cup of brown sugar and 1/4 of white sugar instead and it was much better!! And topped off the banana bread with choco chips sprinkled on top as well! It was delicious and now is a favorite treat in our house!

One word - FABULOUS! I made this for bake sale fundraiser and it sold out right away! And several people wanted the recipe -- which is a sure sign it's a winner! It did take me 1 hour 20 minutes to bake through, but ovens are different so I would just recommend you to bake until a knife inserted in center comes out clean. FIVE SHINY SPARKLING STARS FOR THIS ONE!
