Whole-Wheat Aniseed Bars Recipe

Ingredients:
1 1/3 cup whole-wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon Vanilla Sugar
2 tablespoons aniseeds
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Butter a 15 x lO-inch baking pan. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt into a medium bowl. Beat the eggs, granulated sugar, and vanilla sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer at high speed until pale and thick. Mix in the dry ingredients to form a smooth dough.
Firmly press the dough into the prepared pan to form a smooth, even layer. Sprinkle with the aniseeds. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
