1 cup crunchy peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup corn syrup
3 cups corn flakes, crushed
6 ounces chocolate chips
directions
Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
Combine the peanut butter, sugar, and corn syrup in a large saucepan over low heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until it's melted and smooth.
Stir the corn flakes into the peanut butter mixture, stirring gently to coat the cereal in the mixture.
Transfer the butterfinger mixture to the greased pan and gently pat it down.
Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring every 15-20 seconds until melted. Pour the melted chocolate chips evenly over the cereal mixture and spread it smooth.
Let the mock butterfingers cool and set. Cut into squares. Store the candy bars in an airtight container.
