under 30 minutes
ingredients
Sandwich Fingers
16 ounces thin cheese slices (American, cheddar, spicy pepper jack, whatever you like)
1 baguette French bread, sliced 1/2-inch thick
1/2 stick butter, softened
Dip
1 can condensed tomato soup
1 can condensed cheddar cheese soup
3 cups tomato juice cocktail (can use spicy version)
2 teaspoons hot pepper sauce
1 teaspoon dried basil
directions
For Grilled Cheese Fingers: Layer the cheese slices on the baguette slices. Butter the outside of the sandwiches.
Heat large frying pan or griddle over medium-high heat. Place sandwiches in the pan and cook until golden brown, approximately 2 minutes. Flip sandwiches and cook second side.
Cover frying pan to ensure that the cheese melts. Slice into fingers.
Dip: Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Heat thoroughly, over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Serve dip in small bowls, dip the sandwich fingers in and enjoy!
This is great for kids parties (watch the spice levels for small kids!). You can mix and match different cheeses also.

They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
