The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

4 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped
4 slices American Cheese
4 slices bread
kosher salt
sliced dill pickles
In a small saucepan over low heat add butter. Grate garlic cloves on a microplane directly over butter. Add chives and salt to taste. Whisk ingredients together while butter is melting and set aside.
Place a skillet over med-high heat. With a pastry brush, brush one piece of bread generously with the butter mixture and place in middle of heated skillet. Add two pieces of the cheese and top with another piece of bread. Generously brush the top piece as well.
Cook for about 3 minutes on the first side (check after 2) and about 1 minute on the second, until golden brown and cheese is melted. Repeat for second sandwich.
Remove from pan and place sliced dill pickle inside sandwich and serve.
I guarantee you will never have grilled cheese the old fashioned way again. I also recommend you use real American cheese, not the processed cheese. It makes all the difference in the taste.
