Italian Rice

ingredients
2 cups cooked rice
1 pound extra lean ground round
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
1 can tomato soup
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
5 ounces water
4 slices American processed cheese
directions
Heat large skillet. Add oil, saute onions until clear. Add meat, cook until done, but not brown, making sure meat is broken up into small pieces. Drain, if necessary.
On low heat, stir in the seasoning, Parmesan and garlic to the meat mixture. Cook for approximately 5 minutes. Fold in cooked rice.
Place mixture in a 1 1/2 qt. baking dish. In a small bowl, combing soup, Worcestershire sauce and water. Pour soup mixture over the beef/rice mixture. Top with the American cheese, place in 325 degrees F oven and cook for about 10 minutes or until cheese is bubbly.
Variation: you can also add mushrooms and/or sliced black olives to the ground beef mixture.

meh, was alright. did not have parm cheese to add. added 1 TBSP of italian seasoning, and used shredded cheese instead (prefer the taste). did need to add ketchup while eating as was dry. it was alright... don't think i would make it again.
Italian seasoning should be tsp not tbl, or just one table spoon, way to strong. It was also a little dry maybe a little more soup and bake longer to make the cheese bubble, 10 min didn't melt the cheese.
Too much Italian Seasoning for my family's taste. If I made it again I would reduce it to only one Tablespoon.
