8 slices deli ham
9 slices reduced fat Swiss cheese
8 slices sandwich bread
2 whole eggs
4 egg whites
1 cup 1% milk
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
directions
Coat a 12-by-7-inch baking dish with cooking spray. Place half the deli ham on bottom. Top with 1/3 of the Swiss cheese and half the sandwich bread. Layer with rest of ham, 1/3 more cheese, rest of bread and cheese.
In a bowl, whisk together whole eggs and egg whites, milk, Dijon mustard, salt and pepper. Pour over strata. Cover and chill for 2 to 24 hours.
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Bake for 20 minutes, then uncover and bake 25 minutes more or until hot. Broil top to crisp if desired.
