Party Punch: Bubbling Witches Brew
- add review
- #58039
ingredients
1 bottle (64 ounce size) grape juice
2 bottles (2-liter size) lemon-lime soda or ginger ale
Fun floaters
frozen grapes (eyeballs)
ice cubes
directions
Pour grape juice and soda into bowl or cauldron at party time. Add dry ice when ready to serve.
Ladle quickly into serving cups, but do not put dry ice into individual cups. If the punch is left to fog too long the carbonation will dissipate; also, remember to add more soda or juice if the mixture gets too cold and starts to freeze.
cook's notes
Here's a ghoulishly creepy way to carbonate your drink with those fizzy bubbles that you find in soda -- yes, carbon dioxide from dry ice!

Pizza night is always a favorite, especially when you have great tasting pizza from some of the most popular restaurants.
Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

I was a little nervous about the idea of putting the dry ice in the punch. I researched the safety and wanted to report back that it is considered safe. And we tried it and survived :) The punch is fun with floating frozen grapes.
