Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

ingredients
1 package lime sherbet
1 bottle ginger ale or lemon-lime carbonated beverage
1 can pineapple juice
directions
Place the sherbet into the punch bowl. Pour the pineapple juice and ginger ale over it. Mix and serve with ladle.
This punch can also be made by the glass. Using an ice cream scoop, place a ball of sherbet into the glass. Pour pineapple juice and ginger ale over it.
This is a very foamy, frothy punch that works well for small wedding receptions or baby showers.
