Easy Oven Beef and Vegetable Stew

ingredients
1 1/2 pound beef chuck
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
6 small onions
2 large potatoes, cut in chunks
3 large carrots, cut in chunks
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups turnips, diced
3 cups water
1 1/4 cup beef stock
1 cup canned tomato sauce
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1 whole bay leaf
1/2 teaspoon grated orange rind, (optional)
directions
Remove all visible fat from beef; cut beef into 1-inch cubes. In large casserole or Dutch oven, toss beef with flour. Add remaining ingredients; stir to mix. Bake, covered, in 325 degrees F for 3 hours, stirring occasionally (if you remember). Remove bay leaf.
