- #71474

ingredients
4 medium carrots, halved
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 cup water
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 teaspoon rubbed sage, divided
2 turkey thighs or turkey drumsticks
1 teaspoon browning sauce, optional
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 cup cold water
directions
In a 3-qt. slow cooker, combine the carrots, onion, water, garlic and 1 teaspoon sage. Top with turkey. Sprinkle with remaining sage. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until a meat thermometer reads 180F.
Remove turkey and keep warm. Strain broth, reserving vegetables. Skim fat from cooking juices. Place vegetables in a food processor; cover and process until smooth.
Place in a saucepan; add cooking juices. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Serve with turkey.

This was really easy to make and it was awesome. I have made it twice now and everyone has really liked it. Instead of using water in the dish I use chicken broth and I added celery. Thanks for the great recipe.
