The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

4 slices bread (your choice, I like sourdough)
sliced Swiss cheese to cover
strawberry jam
1 egg, beaten
directions
Melt butter in a frying pan large enough to hold both sandwiches. Place the beaten egg in a shallow dish (like a pie plate) and dip both sides of the sandwich in the egg. Fry until golden brown, flipping once.
Believe it or not, a sprinkle of icing sugar really finishes these off nicely.
