5 bratwurst
2 red apples, sliced
1 can (15 ounce size) sauerkraut
1 can (12 ounce size) beer (light beer is ok)

Combine the bratwurst, apple slices, sauerkraut, and beer in the crock pot. Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 3-4 hours.
Preheat a grill to medium-high heat.
Remove the brats from the crock pot with tongs. Place on the grill and cook for 3 minutes per side.
While the brats are on the grill, remove the cover of the crock pot and turn the heat to high. Let the sauerkraut mixture simmer uncovered while the brats are being grilled.
