All Day Slow Cooker Saffron Rice

Slow cooking the saffron and rice ensures the full flavor of the saffron is infused in the rice. The result is perfectly tender grains of rice with a lovely yellow hue.

ingredients

2 cups long-grain rice, uncooked
4 1/2 cups hot water
1/4 cup butter, melted
3/4 teaspoon saffron threads, crushed
2 teaspoons salt

directions

Mix the rice and other ingredients in the crock and stir well to combine.

Cover the crock pot and cook on high heat for 2-3 hours or until the rice is tender.
