ingredients
1 cup rice
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/4 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon sugar
directions
For Mix: Combine the spices and the rice. Store in an airtight container.
To make the Rice:
2 Cups Water
2 Teaspoons Olive Oil
In a medium sized saucepan, combine the rice mix, water and oil and bring to a boil over high heat, stirring constantly.
Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed. Remove from the heat and let sit for 5 minutes. Stir the rice and serve.

I made this exactly as written and it is Excellent!! Add other spices to your liking. I have a 100# bag of rice stored for hard times; I'm going to buy a bunch of Ziplock snack bags (yes it fits) and make a ton of these!! How very convenient!! Thank you so much for this simple idea!!
