Chex and Chocolate Party Mix

ingredients
9 cups Chex cereal
2 cups shredded coconut
1 cup peanuts
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cup raisins
directions
Preheat oven to 250F degrees. Combine cereal, coconut and peanuts in shallow roasting pan. In small saucepan over medium heat, heat brown sugar, butter and corn syrup to boiling, stirring. Without stirring, boil for 5 minutes. Stir in vanilla and baking soda.
Pour over cereal mixture, stir until evenly coated. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool, stirring frequently. Stir in chocolate chips and raisins. Store in airtight container.

Wonderful!..I made a double batch the very 1st time...brave..huh?:) And then had to go back and and make another double batch..not a bad rap! Lots of yum yums from friends:)
