The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

ingredients
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
2 packages (3.5 ounce size) butterscotch pudding mix
1/3 cup light cream
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
directions
Sift flour with sugar, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
Place eggs in a large bowl. Use a hand mixer or whisk to beat until very thick. Add flour mixture and rest of ingredients. Mix well with whisk (Do not use an electric mixer). Fold in chocolate chips.
Pour into a lightly greased 9" x 9" x 2" pan. Bake in a preheated 325 degrees F oven for 35-40 minutes or until a cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
Place pan on wire rack to cool slightly before cutting into bars.
