Made these and added a thin layer of chocolate fudge on top and let it harden. MMMM!

My kids are crazy about cheerios and love these bars. I don't add the peanuts however.

Not normally a honey fan, but this was really good and so easy. All of my kids liked it including the picky eaters. Will make again.

I was specifically looking for a Peanut Butter Cheerio Bar that didn't require marshmallows. Throughout my web search, I found recipes requiring marshmallows, karo syrup, vanilla etc. I just wanted a recipe with the cereal, and peanut butter....if in fact it could be done. Luckily, I found this recipe here at www.cdkitchen.com What a life-saver. I made these delicious treats with the ingredients that were in my pantry. I deviated from the recipe a bit by adding a 1/2 cup of real butter in with the honey and sugar and brought it to a boil. OMG, the sauce looked and kinda taste like caramel (maybe I was just hungry LOL) but it was delicious. I am waiting on the bars to cool before cutting. I don't know how that will come out--but to me it doesn't matter b/c it's just the kids and I who will be eating them. I'll write a follow-up on the cut......in a minute! Thanks for this Recipe!!!! ~Tahli

These were a hit with my son, who is seven and very picky. Due to peanut allergy, I used sunflower seed butter instead of peanut butter and they turned out great! I could taste the honey, so next time I may use half honey, half corn syrup. I also used a smaller pan rather than the 9 X 13 size.

These were very good, but I don't see how these fit in a 9x13 pan. They don't stretch that thin, nor would I want them to. I think an 8x8 or 9x9 would be perfect. I think next time I will just double the recipe to fit the 9x13.

Yum! Was surprised at how tasty these super-easy bars turned out. Omitted peanuts, substituted Splenda for sugar, and cooled in freezer. turned out wonderfully.

I am pleased with how easy it is to assemble. I agree with the other reviewer, use extra cheerios, but only up to 4c max. The other tip I have is to spray your hand with cooking spray before pressing down into the pan. Good luck and its a great tasty treat for all peanut butter lovers.
