ingredients

2 packages (8 ounce size) softened cream cheese
1/4 pound baby shrimp
1 jar cocktail sauce
crackers

directions

Shape the cream cheese into an oval, "brain" shape. Place the cream cheese brain on a platter.

Mix the shrimp and cocktail sauce together. Pour sauce over the cream cheese brain. Surround the "brain" with the crackers.

cook's notes

For added effect take a toothpick dipped into food coloring (blue and/or green) and make veins in the cream cheese brain to look like a real brain.

Getting the brain shape right was kind of hard. I had to keep looking at the photo and some pictures I found online to form it into something close. Everyone was able to figure out what it was so that was good! I added some hot sauce to the cocktail sauce to spice it up. There wasn't anything left after the party.
