The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

Chicken legs cooked buffalo-wing style. Hot sauce, butter, and spices in the slow cooker with the drumsticks do the trick. Serve with blue cheese and celery.

12 chicken drumsticks
1 bottle (5 ounce size) hot red pepper sauce
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1 pinch salt and pepper, to taste
1 1/2 cup blue cheese salad dressing
Place the chicken legs in the crock pot. In a bowl or large measuring cup, combine the hot sauce, melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well then pour evenly over the chicken legs.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 3-5 hours or until the chicken is cooked through.
Remove the chicken from the crock pot and place on a serving dish. Cover with foil. Turn the crock pot to high and let the sauce cook for 10 minutes or until thickened. Alternately, you can transfer the sauce to a saucepan and simmer it over medium heat until thickened.
Coat the chicken legs in the thickened sauce and return to the serving plate. Serve hot with blue cheese or ranch dressing on the side.

These are like buffalo wings but meatier. Messy but soooo good! Serve with lots of napkins!
