Slow Cooker Sausage And Pepper Penne Pasta

ingredients
1 1/2 pound hot or sweet Italian sausage links
2 red bell peppers, seeded and sliced
2 green bell peppers, seeded and sliced
2 large onions, sliced
1 can (28 ounce size) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (6 ounce size) tomato paste
1 teaspoon dried oregano
16 ounces penne pasta, cooked al dente
1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
directions
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook, turning occasionally, until well browned on all sides. Remove from the skillet and slice into 1-inch pieces.
Add the peppers and onions to the skillet. Cook until the onions are soft.
Combine the sausage, onions and peppers, tomatoes, tomato paste, and oregano to the crock pot. Mix well. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours.
Cook the pasta and drain well. Add to the crock pot along with the shredded Parmesan. Stir well. Increase heat to high and let cook for 30 minutes.

I only cooked this on low for 4 hours because everything was cooked before it went into the crock pot so it didn't really need to cook that long. I used hot Italian turkey sausage. I cooked it first then sliced it.
