Maccheroni Al Sugo De Salsiccia (Pasta With Sausage Sauce)

ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large red onion, finely chopped
2 sweet Italian sausages, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, peeled and finely chopped
2 tablespoons white wine
2 cups peeled and crushed tomatoes
salt
black pepper
crushed red pepper
1 pound pasta, any chunky shape
directions
In a medium pan, heat the olive oil over medium high heat. Add the onion and sausages and cook until the sausage meat is just cooked through, about 5 minutes.
Add the garlic and cook for 2 minutes. Add the wine and cook for 2 minutes. Add the tomatoes and season with salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper to taste. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta until al dente according to the directions on the package. Drain.
Toss the pasta with the sausage sauce and serve at once.
