Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
Best Ever Tuna Casserole

ingredients
1 package (6 ounce size) medium egg noodles
1 can (9.25 ounce size) tuna
1/2 cup Miracle Whip salad dressing
1/2 cup chopped onions (optional)
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper (optional)
1/4 cup pimento (optional)
1 tablespoon salt or seasoning mix
1 can cream of celery or mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
1 cup diced Velveeta cheese
1 large can peas
directions
Cook noodles in salt water until tender. Drain.
Combine noodles with tuna, Miracle Whip, vegetables and salt. Blend soup and milk. Add cheese.
Heat until cheese melts in oven or on top of stove.

I sometimes chop 1/2 cup celery and other vegetables and simmer in liquid from peas before combining with other ingredients.

Thanks for the heads up on the salt. I only added 1 teaspoon and it was delicious. Definitely doesn't need one tablespoon!!! Also, nowhere sells 9.25 ounce cans of tuna so I had to use smaller ones combined, just in case you are going crazy looking for some giant can of tuna that doesn't exist.

Way too salty. Did you mean 1 tsp instead of 1 Tbsp. I should have known better, but I put 1/2 Tbsp. first, thinking 1 whole Tbsp was too much, and I wish I would've put only one tsp. It was so salty that I had too add sour cream and cottage cheese to tone it down. After that it was edible, though I couldn't get the salty taste out of my mind.
