Thanksgiving Ambrosia With Grapefruit, Orange, And Tangerine
- add review
- #30284
Looking for something a little different this Thanksgiving? Try this light citrus combination of grapefruit, orange, and tangerine in place of your usual fruit salad.
ingredients
2 grapefruit
3 oranges
2 tangerines
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup shredded coconut
directions
Peel and divide the fruits into sections. Place a layer of grapefruit, oranges, and tangerines in a serving dish. Toss gently to mix them up. Sprinkle the fruits with half of the sugar and half of the coconut. Place another layer of fruit on top of the sugar, sprinkling them randomly so the different fruits are evenly dispersed. Top with the remaining sugar and coconut.
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 1 hour. Stir the ambrosia salad gently before serving.

What's the secret ingredient in these cakes? Pudding mix. It not only adds flavor but it gives the cake a richer, creamier texture. No one will know your secret ingredient!
Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

Wonderfully simple. I usually whip some cream and mix it in too.
