30-60 minutes
ingredients
1/4 cup golden raisins
2 tablespoons dark rum

non-stick cooking spray
1/2 cup sugar
3 cups diagonally sliced (1/4-inch thick) ripe banana
directions

Fold a 2-inch dough border over banana slices, prssing gently to seal (dough will partially cover slices). Bake at 425 for 30 minutes.
Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan; cook over medium heat until golden (about 8 minutes). Remove from heat; carefully stir in raisin mixture until combined. Cool slightly. Pour over banana slices. Cut into wedges.

They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
