ingredients
1 1/4 pound boneless beef sirloin steak, cut 1.5 inches thick
1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
1 tablespoon peanut butter
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
1 can (8.25 ounce size) pineapple chunks, drained
directions
Cut beef into 1 1/2-inch cubes; place in medium bowl.
Blend teriyaki sauce, peanut butter, brown sugar, garlic powder and pepper sauce. Pour mixture over beef, turning pieces over to coat thoroughly. Marinate 1 hour, turning pieces over occasionally.
Reserving marinade, remove beef and thread alternately with pineapple chunks on wooden or bamboo skewers.
Arrange skewers in single layer on 12-inch round microwave-safe platter. Brush with reserved marinade. Microwave on High 2 minutes.
Turn skewers over and rotate positions on platter, moving center skewers to edge. Brush with marinade. Microwave on High 2 minutes longer, or to desired degree of doneness.

I used this recipe often when I was in my teens, cooking for my brother and I. It was in a cookbook my mother had. Quite tasty, but I recommend just grilling them. The microwave method tastes artificial and gives it a rubbery texture.
