ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef
1 clove crushed garlic
1 can (15 ounce size) tomato sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
8 ounces fine egg noodles
1/2 cup cream cheese
1 cup sour cream
6 scallions or green onions
grated cheese of your choice
directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a medium pan, saute meat and garlic at medium heat until no pink remains in the meat. Pour off excess fat. Add seasonings to taste and tomato sauce.
Mix together in bowl the cream cheese, sour cream and scallions.
Cook noodles in separate pan and drain.
Grease or spray a 2 quart casserole dish. Place about a third of the noodles and then cheese mixture, layering until all ingredients except grated cheese are used.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-45 minutes until hot and bubbly. Serve with grated cheese of your choice on top as desired.
