1 package (8 ounce size) noodles, cooked and drained
1 1/2 pound lean ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1 jar (15 ounce size) spaghetti sauce
1 can (10.75 ounce size) cheddar cheese soup
1 can (8 ounce size) tomato sauce
1 can (4 ounce size) sliced mushrooms
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
pepper, to taste
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
In a large skillet, brown ground beef with chopped onion. Drain well.
Stir in spaghetti sauce, soup, tomato sauce, mushrooms, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.
Combine beef mixture with cooked noodles. Pour into a 3 quart baking dish. Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for 35 to 40 minutes, or until bubbly.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.
