- #123467
2-5 hrs
ingredients
20 whole chicken wings, with tips removed, and separated into two parts each
Breading
1/2 cup corn meal
1/2 cup flour
2 tablespoons your favorite seasoned salt or barbecue rub
2 teaspoons salt
Egg Wash
1 egg
1 1/2 cup milk
directions
Mix all breading ingredients in one bowl and Egg Wash ingredients in another. Dip each wing part in egg wash mixture, then coat in breading mixture.
Place each wing part in a pan, cover and refrigerate for about an hour. In the meantime, prepare grill or barbecue pit to low heat.
After the hour, take chicken wings out of the fridge. Spray grill surface with cooking spray and place wings about 10" above grill fire. Cover and cook for about 30 minutes. Flip over chicken pieces and cook another 20 minutes.
When wings are a nice golden brown color, carefully remove from grill. Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
