The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.
Slow Cooker Bacon-Onion Chip Dip

ingredients
6 slices bacon, finely chopped
8 ounces light cream cheese, softened
1 cup light sour cream
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 green onions, finely chopped
potato chips or crackers
directions
In a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, cook bacon 7 to 8 minutes or until crisp. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
Combine cream cheese and cheddar cheese in crockpot. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour or until cheese is melted (do not stir). Reduce heat to low until ready to serve. 15 minutes before serving, stir in bacon and sour cream. Let heat thru.
Transfer to a bowl, sprinkle with chopped green onions and serve with plain potato chips or as a spread on crackers.
