ingredients
2 cups walnuts
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon walnut oil
directions
Plunge walnuts into a pot of boiling water. Turn off pot and let stand 2 minutes. Drain and spread walnuts on a baking sheet and toast in a 400 degrees F oven for 10 minutes.
Measure seasonings in a bowl and stir. Heat oil in a skillet. Add toasted nuts and toss 1 minute. Add seasoning and toss until nuts are coated. Cool on a paper towel.
