Lemon Pepper Cashews

ingredients
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup raw cashews, whole or halved
1 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
1 lemon, zested
1 pinch salt
directions
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sugar and cashews and cook, stirring frequently, until the sugar begins to melt.
Reduce the heat to medium-low. Cook, stirring constantly, for 10 minutes or until the sugar is fully melted and the nuts are coated.
Stir in the black pepper, lemon zest, and salt. Mix well.
Pour the nuts onto waxed paper and spread out into a single layer. Let cool completely.
Store in an airtight container.
