6 cups sugar
Hand mash berries together. Add them and the sugar to a large stockpot. Bring to a boil and continue to cook over high heat stirring often to prevent sticking, until gelling point is reached, approximately 25 minutes (8 degrees F over boiling point is gelling point).
Ladle into hot sterile jars and water bath process for 15 minutes.
