The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

ingredients
1 package (10 ounce size) frozen peas
1 can (8 ounce size) sliced water chestnuts, drained
1 container (14.5 ounce size) fat-free chicken broth
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 pinch salt
1 pinch sugar
directions
In a medium saucepan, cook peas and water chestnuts in chicken broth for 5 minutes or until peas are tender. Drain.
Add butter and seasonings if desired.
