Grated Potatoes Au Gratin With Swiss Cheese

ingredients
1 pound potatoes, peeled and grated
2/3 cup milk
2/3 cup heavy cream
1 small onion, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
pepper, to taste
1 cup grated Swiss cheese, divided
directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Combine all ingredients, but only 1/2 cup Swiss cheese, in a large saucepan; stirring to a boil, stirring frequently. Remove from heat. Spread into a buttered 1 1/2 quart gratin dish. Sprinkle top with remaining 1/2 cup grated Swiss cheese. Bake 25 minutes at 400 degrees F.
