ingredients

1 quart red grape juice
2 quarts apple juice
3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
3/4 cup honey

directions

Combine the ingredients in a large pitcher. Stir well to dissolve the honey. Store the drink in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Drink up to 2 ounces daily. Honey and apple cider vinegar are said to have benefits that will contribute to your overall health and even help you lose weight.

Always consult a doctor before starting any diet plan or relying on nutritional information or claims made on this site or other websites.

recipe tips

Shake or stir the mixture before each use as the ingredients may settle.

Serve chilled for a refreshing post-workout drink.

Try adding a pinch of cinnamon or ginger for added flavor.

Gradually increase the vinegar content if you enjoy the taste and tolerate it well.

Make sure all ingredients are well mixed so the honey is fully dissolved.

Use raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar for potentially more natural benefits. The "mother" contains natural probiotics, for example.

Consider using freshly squeezed apple juice for a fresher taste and more nutrients.

Remember to balance your fluid intake with water, especially after intense workouts.

Always consult with healthcare professionals before making significant dietary changes or using dietary supplements.

Is this drink suitable for everyone?

People with certain health conditions or those taking specific medications should consult a doctor before consuming, especially due to the vinegar content.

How long does this drink last in the refrigerator?

It should be consumed within a week for the best quality.

  1. bmeadows2bm REVIEW:

After just begining the jogging in the bottle mix yesterday I wonder the harm of drinking say 4 oz. A day instead of 2 oz.?

    • Drinking too much apple cider vinegar can be harmful. It can decrease your potassium levels, cause stomach upset, and harm tooth enamel. We recommend limiting the beverage to 2 ounces per day as directed.

  2. bmeadows2bm REVIEW:

I began this recipe yesterday. To my surprise (since I even hate the smell of vinegar) the mix taste good. What's the reason for using red grape juice instead of purple? Just curious.

    • Red and purple grape juice should have similar health benefits.

  3. diverdude0075 REVIEW:

Did anyone leave out the honey? Already has so much sugar! I have it it tastes ok. I can get a little of the apple cider vinegar taste...

    • Yes, as you see in other reviews here, people have left it out. However, the honey and apple cider vinegar are really the two ingredients that have the most health benefits. Maybe try using a brand of juice that has a lower sugar content instead.

  4. Humdinger26101 REVIEW:

I use a similar recipe without the honey. Honey has a lot of great benefits; however, with the natural sugars it contains along with the sugars in the juices this isn’t a friendly recipe for diabetics. Moderation is the key in everything.

  5. Jan REVIEW:

I did this recipe,it calls for red grape juice, and all my ache and pains went away and I lost about 10 pounds over about two months!!Still improving my health!!Lots more energy!! Make sure to use the vinegar that has the (mother)or (undistilled),I used Braggs,it has all the health benefits.

  6. brenda REVIEW:

A dr recommended this for my husband several years ago, but it didn't have the honey in it. He quit drinking it after a while, but the benefits were ther. Gonna try this recipe with the honey. Maybe he will start drinking it again to feel better again. Because IT WORKS!!

I have been drinking the jogging in the jug 1/2 cup for 1 week now and i have loss 2.4 lbs. However, I was taking Metformin and have since quit taking the pills. I would like to stress the importance of changing your diet for example, I bake, broil my meats. And I have limited my soda pop drinking and walk 3 miles every other day.

  8. Mel REVIEW:

My triglycerides are normal after taking jogging in a jug. My Dr said whatever you're doing---keep doing it!!!! All of my blood work is normal!!!! It works, but take it consistently and itmay take a few months.

  9. trina davidson

I have not tried it yet.

  10. Vera REVIEW:

Make sure you use the vinegar that has the "mother" in it for best results. Bragg's is a good brand. This tastes very good. Don't ever drink vinegar straight as it can hurt your throat.

  11. Guest Foodie REVIEW:

Apple cider vinegar is said to have all sort of health benefits so I made up a batch of this and have been drinking the 2 ounces daily for a few days now. You don't taste the vinegar in it so I'm giving this five stars for being drinkable. As far as losing weight, that remains to be seen.

  12. Guest Foodie REVIEW:

Been drinking 2-3 oz a day for about 2 weeks. I can really tell a difference. My leg and hip pain has gone and I have alot more energy.
