Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

Keeping a can of frozen orange juice concentrate in the freezer means you can make more than just orange juice. Try it in a variety of orange-flavored recipes.
It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

Strange recipe. Oil is used but not listed as an ingredient. Adding cloves, cinnamon and thyme "to taste" when they are sprinkled on raw chicken is not possible. Guesswork was required. However, after using 1/4 tsp cloves, 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1 tsp thyme, and cooking the chicken in 1 tbs grape seed oil, I came out with a dish that was satisfactory. My sister, who does not like chicken mole, liked it. My husband, who loves chicken mole, was not enthusiastic. I found it good but not great.
