It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

1/2 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 pinch cayenne pepper
1 pound shrimp, uncooked, shelled and deveined
Combine first seven ingredients in a 9" x 13" baking dish. Add shrimp and toss to coat. Refrigerate at least 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
Bake until shrimp are cooking through, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes. Serve with pasta and French bread.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
Not to be confused with evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk is very sweet (and very sticky) and used primarily in desserts.
