I tried this for the first time today. The chicken is really bland and does not have an orange flavor at all. I used diet soda as my husband is a diabetic. The sauce is very salty.

Loved it! I've used soda in other recipes like the 7up ham one but never thought to use something more flavored. The soda really tenderizes food so the chicken turned out super moist. I removed the chicken then poured the liquid into a saucepan and reduced it a bit and thickened it with cornstarch, then sliced up the chicken and served with the sauce over rice. Delish!

I tried this recipe just out of curiosity because of the pop, and was very pleasantly surprised! Both hubby and I really enjoyed it, and will surely make it again in the not too distant future. So very simple and so very good.

This is so easy. I do recommend using diet orange soda instead of regular, its a little to sweet for us. We served over rice and added some steamed Broccoli. My kids love it. I have made it 3 times this month at their request.
