Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

Orange slices, orange juice, orange peel. This orange chicken knows what it's all about. Some sweet brown sugar tempers all the orange flavor and makes these sweet, sticky morsels irresistible.
4 chicken breast halves
flour for dredging chicken
4 thin orange slices
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 teaspoon grated orange rind
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1 pinch allspice
salt and pepper, to taste
Dredge chicken with flour and place in a shallow greased baking pan. Top with orange slices.
Combine remaining ingredients in a saucepan and heat until butter melts and sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and stir until smooth. Pour over chicken.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour, basting frequently until chicken is glazed and browned.
