Slow cooker pozole is a delicious Mexican stew that is made with chicken, pork, and hominy. This hearty dish is perfect for an evening when you are in need of some comfort food.
2 boneless skinless chicken breast halves, cut into strips
4 pork steaks, trimmed and cut into strips
1 can (15 ounce size) white or yellow hominy, drained
1 small onion, chopped
1 can (4 ounce size) diced green chiles, drained
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon chili powder
sliced radishes
chopped cilantro
Combine the chicken, pork, hominy, onion, green chiles, salt, pepper, and chili powder in the crock pot. Mix well.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 4 hours or until heated through.
Serve the pozole hot in individual bowls, garnished with sliced radishes and chopped cilantro.
