The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

1 jar (10 ounce size) seedless raspberry preserves
1 cup fresh or frozen mixed berries
directions
In a saucepan, heat preserves over low heat until melted. Add mixed berries. Heat until sauce just simmers. Cover; refrigerate until served.
