This Italian pepper steak combines thinly sliced beef with vibrant bell peppers and a tangy tomato sauce, served over spaghetti for a hearty family dinner.

ingredients
1 pound boneless beef sirloin or top round steak, 3/4" thick
2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil
2 small green or red bell peppers, cut into 2" strips
1 medium onion, sliced
1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
OR
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 can tomato soup
1/2 cup water
4 cups hot cooked spaghetti pasta
directions
Slice beef into very thin strips. Heat oil in skillet. Add beef and cook until browned, stirring often. Push beef to one side of skillet.
Add peppers, onion, oregano, garlic and black pepper and cook until tender. Add soup and water and heat through.
Serve over spaghetti.
