ingredients

30 ounces canned peach halves in heavy syrup
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 cinnamon stick
1/2 teaspoon whole cloves
1/4 cup brandy

directions

Drain peaches; reserve syrup.

In small saucepan, combine reserved syrup, sugar, white vinegar, stick cinnamon and cloves. Simmer the mixture, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Stir in the peach halves and heat through. Cool. Stir in brandy.

Store peaches in covered container in refrigerator for at least 48 hours before serving.
