Slow Cooker Beef And Mushroom Soup

ingredients
4 cups mushrooms, sliced
3 carrot, sliced
1 cup celery, sliced
1 cup rice
1 pound beef stew meat, cubed
3 cans low sodium beef broth
1/2 cup sherry
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
directions
Place the mushrooms, carrots, and celery in the bottom of the crock pot. Evenly layer the beef cubes over the vegetables.
Sprinkle the dry rice over the top of the beef.
In a bowl, combine the broth, sherry, thyme, and garlic powder until mixed. Slowly pour the broth mixture over the top of the beef.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or on high for 4-5 hours, or until the beef is cooked through and the rice is tender.
Stir before serving.
