The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.
Key Lime Corn On The Cob

ingredients
6 ears corn, husks and silks removed
4 quarts water
1/4 cup butter
1 tablespoon chopped roasted red peppers
1 teaspoon Key lime-pepper blend
1 teaspoon oregano
directions
Cut corn ears into 3" lengths.
In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil, then add corn. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 5 minutes or until corn is tender. Drain.
In a microwave bowl in microwave, cook remaining ingredients for 30 seconds or until melted. Place corn in a serving bowl and drizzle with lime pepper butter. Toss to coat.
