  1. Guest Foodie REVIEW:

I added one cup of water and one small can of low sodium chicken broth as the rice was getting way too dry during the cooking process.

  2. Lancer REVIEW:

I just made it and we love it!

  3. UGTBK REVIEW:

Agree this is 5-hour cook time on Low in a slow cooker, and you must add at least 1 cup of water. Cannot imagine what the results would look like without. I also added 1/2 cup dry white wine. Not sure it added anything. Most of the savoriness comes from the mushrooms absorbing the onion soup mix. Overall, not bad.

  4. bkelley REVIEW:

I added additional liquid (about 1/2 cup water) twice during cooking because it was dry. Only needs cooking 5 hours max. Very easy.

  5. jlnsmmy REVIEW:

The prep/cook time stated 5 hours, but the recipe itself said to cook on low for 7-9 hours. So that is what I did. The rice was mush and the chicken whas dry as a bone. I was extremely disappointed in this recipe.
